Minutes Extraordinary Meeting 15th May 2012


Held at Downing Court on Tuesday, 15th May 2012 starting at 7.00pm

Present: Margaret Chadwick-Chairman (MC), Brian Ambrose (BA), Bert Collins (BC), Lynn Reed-Vice Chairman (LR), Sharyn Robinson (SR), Sue Romero and James Hardwicke (JH).

3023: Members’ Declaration of Interest for Items on the Agenda:

3024: Approval of Annual Audit Return including Governance Statement:
A copy of the annual return schedule and governance statement was circulated prior to the meeting. These were agreed. Proposed: Sharyn Robinson. Seconded: Lynn Reed.

3025. Clerk’s Reports:
Use of Recreation Ground and Pavilion: A request was received from Donna Cornwell, Head Teacher at the School, asking to use the facilities for their School Olympic event. This would include the marking out of a running track. Everyone agreed to this but BA asked if at all possible could the School mark out its track using the football pitch.

3026. Finances including Approval of Payment of Outstanding Accounts:

a) Taylor Vinters – Professional Services (Cemetery Corner) £ 294-00

The above payment was agreed. Proposed: Brian Ambrose. Seconded: Bert Collins.

3027. Parish Councillors’ Reports:
SR reported on a new type of wet pour surface. It was suggested that the Clerk obtain a quotation for consideration at the next meeting.
Min.ref.371/2998: SR confirmed that artwork by Red-2-Green was now on display in the Pavilion. Thank you to BA & BC.
MC reported that she was asked to meet with neighbours of the Mitchell Lodge Farm to discuss their concerns about the amount of rubble/concrete stored on site.
SR had received in error the annual RoSPA inspection report for the play area and said she would pass this to the Clerk.
