Swaffham Bulbeck Parish Council is overseeing a Neighbourhood Plan for Swaffham Bulbeck. A Neighbourhood Plan is the community’s opportunity to influence housing development and related facilities in the parish over the next 15 to 20 years. It cannot prevent development set out in the Local Plan published by East Cambs District Council, but it does allow us to shape the type of housing, the character of houses, identify potential sites for future development as well as have a say on community facilities developed alongside housing.
It’s really important that residents contribute to the Neighbourhood Plan so that as many views can be taken into account as possible.
Chartered Landscape Architect, Lucy Batchelor-Wylam, was commissioned to undertake a Landscape Character Assessment of the parish and a Fringe Sensitivity Assessment. A draft Vision and Objectives have been drawn up using a range of evidence-based information. We welcome your input and comments! Please find these documents under in the NP Documents section.
We have also created a questionnaire which you can complete at any time. You can access it by clicking this link.
We would also like to invite residents along to future meetings of the steering group. Dates and agendas are available on this page – please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to attend a meeting. Minutes of previous meetings can be viewed here.
